On this episode of the Replacement Level Podcast MLB.com national baseball writer Phil Rogers joined me to discuss the Hall of Fame. Phil has been a Hall of Fame voter for nearly two decades. He discussed in great detail who he plans to vote for in 2014 and more importantly, why. Phil gave his thoughts on what do with players associated with steroid use, and why he doesn’t vote for them.
Phil spoke at length about the “flawed” voting system. He offered some suggestions on how to improve the process and the voters who partake in it.
We also discussed today’s report that the Rakuten Eagles will not post Masahiro Tanaka for the 2014 season.
This is an in-depth look inside the voting process from one Hall of Fame voter.
